Well, it has been a while since my last blog....like a really long time! After suffering a first round loss at the CHRR back in October, that kind of set us up for a long winter. I stayed very busy back here in Oklahoma starting a new business in my shop at home. I have been doing chassis repair and modifications on sprint cars and building some parts for those guys. I just finished building a new cage for a Yamaha Rhino and hope to start selling a few of them.

With just a few days until the 50th March Meet, I am starting to get pretty pumped about it. Our team went up to Bakersfield a couple of weeks ago and had a fairly successful outing. The car showed great promise with some of the new items that the guys built and installed over the winter. After pedaling the car at about 100 ft due to tire shake and shutting it off at about 800 ft. it had half track numbers good enough to 5.87. We have got to get this car to run deep in the 5.70s if we are going to be competitive this year and it looks like we are on the right track.

I would like to take some time to thank M&H tires and John Hashim for working so hard on getting us a safe tire. I know this is a big priority to these guys and I know how much effort they have put into this deal. With that being said, I am excited about Hoosier tires coming in with a tire that so far looks extremely promising for being an alternative to the M&H. With safety being priority one, I think an alternative tire will take some of the pressure off of the drivers, crew chiefs, track management and give M&H some time to possibly develop a whole new tire without the pressure of short deadlines. I expect that we will see several cars with Hoosiers at the March Meet, that is something that is going to be hard to get used to! Next weekend will begin my 12th year in nostalgia top fuel and all that I have ever seen on these cars is an M&H tire.

Lara, my dad and my brother Chad are all coming with me this weekend. I am excited to have my family back at the races with me again, my mom will be the only one not coming, she is just scared to death to fly! I have to figure out a way to get her over that!

Stop by and say hi next weekend and check out our new shirts that we will have for sale. Bert has done an excellent job on them and they look great! See you in a few days!

Til next time, Troy & Lara
